Job summary

State of Wisconsin is seeking a Dentist at correctional facilities to provide comprehensive dental care for Persons in our Care. The role includes diagnosing, treating, and preventing dental diseases, performing procedures from exams to oral surgery, and guiding dental health education.

The position requires Wisconsin licensure in Dentistry or eligibility for licensure by time of appointment. The role reports to the Dental Director and supports infection control and equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• SPECIAL REQUIREMENT: Applicants must possess current Wisconsin licensure in Dentistry or be licensed in another state and be eligible to obtain Wisconsin licensure by time of appointment.

Responsibilities

• Provide general dentistry and all matters requiring professional judgment, monitor dental disease, restore and maintain dental function, and promote oral health for Persons in our Care.
• Examine and evaluate oral condition upon admission and periodically; perform diagnostic, preventive, restorative, periodontic, endodontic, prosthodontic, adjunctive and emergency procedures and oral surgery; refer complex cases to community specialists.
