The DOC Electronic Monitoring Center provides electronic monitoring services to the Division of Community Corrections, Division of Juvenile Corrections, local law enforcement, and county human services agencies.
This position participates in the operation of the 24‑hour/7‑day statewide Corrections Electronic Monitoring system, maintaining confidential information on approximately 5,000 offenders and electronically tracking their movements to and from residences, treatment, and employment settings.
Responsibilities include providing detailed offender information to probation and parole field agents, county organizations, DOC administrative staff, and correctional and law enforcement agencies at the County, State, and Federal levels.
This position is in pay schedule / range 02‑11 with a starting pay rate of $22.76 per hour plus excellent benefits. Pay on appointment for current state employees may vary according to applicable pay transaction provisions. A twelve‑month probationary period is required.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States (citizen, lawful permanent resident, or authorized alien). The Department of Corrections will conduct criminal background checks and fingerprinting for all hires.
As a Corrections Communications Operator you will receive and provide information, directives and messages to stakeholders over phone and electronic communications. Successful candidates must be able to clearly hear and understand words over the phone with distractions, distortions and background noise, with or without accommodation.
Workstations include multiple computer monitors displaying a variety of systems simultaneously. Candidates must have the ability to view and read from multiple monitors for extended periods, with or without accommodations.
Remote work is not an option for these positions.

Employees may be ordered to work additional 8‑hour shifts. The ability to work an additional 8‑hour shift is an essential function of the position. Operations run 24 hours × 7 days on 3 shifts.
