Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Five (5) years of related work experience in criminal justice, counseling, or social work.
• Post-offer medical examination and background investigation must be completed.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial interviews with inmates and assess the level of security needed.
• Review security check forms and determine appropriate inmate classification; refer to medical/psych services when needed.
• Access NCIC and run related reports as required by classification.
• Meetings to review classification decisions and monitor the process for compliance.
• Review inmate histories, education and employment records, and court dispositions.
• Provide information to families regarding community services and detention issues.
• Respond to inmate grievances and write reports for court as needed.
• Document case management and prepare case file reports for reviews.
