Job summary

Tillamook County Sheriff's Office in Tillamook, Oregon, seeks a Corrections Technician to support professional Deputies in maintaining security and welfare of Adults in Custody (AIC). You will operate central control, monitor alarms, and maintain logs to ensure safety and compliance within the jail facility.

This role requires corrections or law enforcement experience, a valid Oregon driver’s license, and certifications in LEDS, First Aid, and CPR within one year. Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Preferred corrections or law enforcement experience.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S.
• Must possess a valid Oregon driver’s license.
• Certifications in LEDS, First Aid and CPR within one year of appointment.
• Spanish language ability is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate the central control system to monitor movement and access throughout the facility.
• Monitor housing unit alarms, radios, and respond per protocol.
• Maintain concise logs, records, and files while ensuring confidentiality.
• Process AIC mail and assist other justice agencies and the public as needed.
• Provide indirect supervision of AICs via central control, without daily physical contact.
• Perform record keeping and paperwork in support of jail operations.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.
