Federal Bureau of Prisons seeks candidates with strong foundations in behavioral or social sciences to support case management within correctional settings and public safety through reentry preparation.

Applicants must have at least 24 semester hours in behavioral or social sciences, and may qualify with graduate education or equivalent combination. Experience in casework, counseling, or inmate program development is valued across GL-07/GL-09 tracks.

Competenze

• 26+ semester hours of coursework in behavioral or social sciences to meet basic requirement.
• Courses include sociology, correctional administration, criminal justice, psychology, social work, counseling, and related fields to satisfy the 24-semester-hour requirement.

Mansioni

• Assist in case management services.
• Assist in the collection, verification, and analysis of information for social histories.
• Assist in writing correspondence and preparing responses to Attorneys, Judges, and others.
• Monitor inmate needs and program goals for individuals.

Formazione

Graduate-level education in corrections or related field

Education and experience equivalent to 4-year degree in behavioral sciences
