A leading organization in West Virginia is seeking a Corrections Case Manager to work with juveniles. The role involves individual and group counseling, case management, and developing treatment programs to support juvenile rehabilitation. Ideal candidates will have a relevant bachelor's degree and experience in counseling within a correctional environment.
Under general supervision, the Corrections Case Manager will function as a member of a team providing services to an assigned caseload of juveniles. The work of the Corrections Case Manager will consist of providing individual and/or group counseling, assistance in the development of and then implementation of treatment programs, developing case histories, gathering social and placement history, treatment, and court information on juveniles, writing reports and recommendations regarding juvenile behavior, placement, and performance for the circuit courts, acting as a role model for the juvenile as well as serving as the liaison between the juvenile, legal representatives, family members, treatment providers, and/or court officials. Compiles information for juveniles’ involvement in crime and criminal activities, records database statistics, and recommends treatment programs to assist the juvenile in controlling and overcoming problems. Will perform other duties as assigned.
