Job summary

Dixon Correctional Institute in Jackson, LA seeks a dedicated Corrections ARDC Specialist to review and update ARDC data, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance within a 24-hour facility. You will work with institutional leadership and security staff to support timely offender records and classification decisions.

The role requires strong analytical skills, sound judgment, and effective communication to maintain safe and humane operations in a correctional environment.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in offender records analysis, offender classification, offender pre-classification, security, or social services or as a probation or parole officer.
• Six years of full-time work experience in any field.
• A bachelor’s degree.
• Experience substitution: 30 semester hours = 1 year of experience; max substitution 120 semester hours (4 years).

Responsibilities

• Review, verify, and update offender ARDC data.
• Process classification actions and ensure DOC policy compliance.
• Maintain accurate offender records and documentation.
• Coordinate with classification staff and security personnel regarding custody levels and housing decisions.
• Assist in preparing reports, audits, and institutional documentation.
