Job summary

State of Indiana, Plainfield Correctional Facility, is seeking a Correctional Training Officer to oversee a team of training staff and ensure scheduling, instructor assignment, and security of the training center.

You will report to the Deputy Warden of Operations and influence new-hire knowledge and the facility's training culture. Expect a Monday–Friday schedule with flexible options and observed holidays.

Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of adult training theories, methods, principles, practices, techniques, and assessment tools.
• Thorough knowledge of available national, state, local resources for corrections and training standards.
• Adept with multimedia training platforms and methods.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, coordination, development, performance, and evaluation of training programs.
• Coordinate, develop, and instruct training programs at regional locations.
• Evaluate training content and delivery to ensure current policies and best practices.
• Monitor and support the PeopleSoft Training Module and Enterprise Learning Management system.
