Job summary

State of Indiana seeks a Correctional Training Officer at Pendleton Correctional Facility to deliver instruction for new and veteran staff, help update training materials, and coordinate adjunct trainers. You will work under supervision to ensure programs align with ACA standards and policy, while supporting the Correctional Training Institute as needed.

The role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years in corrections or related training.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or HSE required with at least 2+ years of experience in corrections, education, in-service training, or related fields.
• Ability to present and execute detailed lesson plans and to complete Train the Trainer programs.
• Experience in corrections, education, in-service training, or related areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and assist in new employee, annual, and on-the-job training for all staff.
• Assist in development of training curricula to meet objectives.
• Test, measure, and evaluate trainee performance against standards.
• Ensure training programs comply with standards and procedures.
• Maintain training records and prepare written reports.
