Job summary

NaphCare is hiring a Staff Physician to join the ASPC-Lewis team in Buckeye, AZ. The role focuses on delivering quality medical care to inmates within the facility alongside correctional officers and medical staff.

Pay ranges from $130.00 to $150.00 per hour, with both full-time and part-time positions potentially available. The physician will perform exams, manage conditions, and ensure compliance with state and federal policies.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree and AZ license required.
• Board certification or eligibility in Family or Internal Medicine.
• Current AZ DEA registration and BLS CPR (AHA) certification.
• Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds.
• Strong written and verbal communication and computer skills.
• Experience in general medicine and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams, diagnose illnesses and manage chronic conditions.
• Develop and modify treatment plans and coordinate care within the facility.
• Respond to medical emergencies and conduct rounds in medical units.
• Collaborate with medical staff and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Lead educational activities and training for medical care staff.
