Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• At least 1 year of corrections or law enforcement experience.
• Ability to supervise and enforce rules and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, protect, instruct, train, counsel and evaluate assigned employees.
• Provide for care, custody and adherence to rules for offenders in the work area.
• Supervise and secure offenders and monitor long periods of sitting/standing.
• Conduct searches for contraband including pat and strip searches.
• Transfer and transport offenders; restrain and secure as needed.
• Review offender records to ensure health, safety and security information is applied.
