The State of North Carolina – Department of Adult Correction is hiring a Correctional Sergeant II at Lumberton Correctional Institution. You will supervise lower level custody staff, coordinate shifts, manage drills and searches, and ensure security and welfare of offenders in a medium custody facility.

Reporting to a Correctional Lieutenant II, you will evaluate staff performance, oversee training, and ensure adherence to policy and safety standards while maintaining facility operations across

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Two years six months of experience as a Correctional Officer or two years as Correctional Officer II or equivalent combination.
• Must be eligible for NC certification by the CJ Standards Commission.

• Train staff and ensure proper conduct and procedures are followed.
