The State of Indiana seeks a Correctional Sergeant to manage the Branchville Correctional Facility’s safety, operations, and staff. You will enforce policies, supervise offenders, and ensure secure, orderly facility conditions while coordinating with leadership and responding to emergencies with firm, fair oversight.

The role emphasizes leadership, compliance, and program delivery in a medium-security setting, with a strong focus on offender management and staff development.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or HSE with at least 6 months corrections/military experience.
• Must complete required training including First Aid and CPR.
• Ability to travel with reasonable accommodation.

Mansioni

• Manage safe offender movement and meal hall operations.
• Lead assigned staff to maintain security and safety of offenders and facilities.
• Escort offenders to and from meals, medicine, work, and recreation.
• Review movements and conduct, provide feedback on rule violations.
• Assist supervisor in administration of security-related operations.
• Supervise offenders in various work details and grounds upkeep.
• Identify offender treatment needs and support rehabilitation programs.
