  • Maintain detailed records of sentence adjustments, follow up on missing documents, and ensure proper processing of new or updated commitments.
  • Process new commitments by determining if they require a new or existing inmate number, make necessary changes to sentence structures, and notify the Central Office of updates.

This open competitive advertisement is for a Career Service position located at Apalachee Correctional Institution in the Classification Department.

The purpose of the Correctional Sentence Technician is to ensure the accuracy and integrity of inmate sentencing records by reviewing and updating commitment documents, calculating jail time credit, correcting identification errors, collaborating with legal and court staff, and documenting post-release supervision violations for proper accountability and compliance.

This position is not a telework position and is required to report to the FDC office in the area it serves.

JOB DUTIES:
  • Review sentencing documents and apply relevant laws and case rulings to ensure accurate sentence structures and release date calculations.

BACKGROUND SCREENING REQUIREMENT
