Job summary

The Florida Department of Corrections is seeking a CORRECTIONAL SENTENCE SPECIALIST-SES for Suwannee Correctional Institution. This SES position requires meticulous case management and data handling to support inmate release processes.

You will verify release dates, prepare documents, maintain inmate records, and testify when required, with no telework. This on-site role emphasizes accuracy, compliance with statutes, and collaboration with diverse teams to promote safe and effective

Qualifications

Must possess a High School Diploma or its equivalent.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
A minimum of two (2) years' experience at the Florida Department of Corrections.

Responsibilities

Verify and calculate tentative release dates aligned with papers and statutes.
Prepare release documents, verify final release dates, and ensure records for inmate release.
Maintain accurate data entry in the inmate information system and assist training new employees.
Manage daily inmate records including cell changes, assignments, disciplinary reports, and sentence changes.
Prepare affidavits, testify in court, coordinate detainer actions, and supervise transfer of inmate files ensuring policy compliance.
