Position is full-time with a daytime/night shift schedule and a pay rate of $17.00 per hour. A valid driver's license is required, along with background checks and drug screening as part of the employment process.

Qualifications

• Follow site-specific security procedures, policies and emergency response activities.
• Maintain professional conduct and report incidents as required.
• Be at least 18 years old (21+ for armed roles) and hold a valid driver’s license where applicable.

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a correctional environment.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas; report unusual conditions, hazards, and policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, exit, and movement in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
• Complete detailed activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.

What You'll Do

Minimum Requirements

• A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
