Job summary

NaphCare is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Harvest, AL facility, providing medical care for individuals in custody. You will perform screenings, administer medications, and manage chronic conditions within a correctional healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Active, unrestricted RN license in AL
BLS CPR certification (AHA preferred)
Strong nursing knowledge and safety standards
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and in a team
Willingness to work overtime when needed
Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct
Criminal background check and drug screen required

Responsibilities

Perform initial health screenings and physical assessments for newly detained individuals
Monitor and document patient health, vital signs, and medical histories
Provide direct patient care, triage, develop care plans, and coordinate services
Manage acute and chronic conditions (asthma, hypertension, diabetes)
Respond to emergencies, administer first aid, arrange transport to facilities
Educate patients on prevention and healthy lifestyles
Adhere to correctional security protocols while coordinating with officers
Maintain accurate medical records and report relevant information
