Job summary

NaphCare is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) in Oregon City, Oregon to join our team at the Clackamas County Jail. We manage healthcare for residents in a controlled environment, performing assessments, administering medications, and responding to emergencies.

New grads are encouraged to apply; we will train you in correctional healthcare. An active RN license, BLS, and strong communication and confidentiality are required to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in State of practice.
• BLS CPR certification (AHA preferred).
• Knowledge of nursing principles, safety, and infectious disease management.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow facility policies.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial health screenings and assessments for new detainees.
• Monitor vital signs and document medical histories and changes.
• Provide direct patient care, triage, and develop care plans.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions and respond to emergencies.
• Educate patients on preventive care and healthy lifestyles.
• Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to security protocols.
