Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for per diem shifts at a correctional facility in Frostproof, FL. The RN will provide direct nursing care, perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, timely patient care.

The role requires a graduate of an accredited nursing program with an active RN license in Florida or state of employment, and a current BLS/CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized nursing care to inmate patients per nursing protocols.
• Perform assessments across intake, units, emergencies, chronic care, and medical areas.
• Collaborate with primary care and interdisciplinary teams for timely, continuous care.
• Administer medications and therapies as prescribed.
• Monitor reactions and changes in patient status; document findings.
• Provide patient education on medications, self-care, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation in required formats.
• Uphold safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines.
• Participate in ongoing staff development and quality initiatives.
