Job summary

CFG Health Systems, LLC is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse in Bartow, FL to join our correctional health team. The RN will deliver direct nursing care to inmate patients, conduct assessments in diverse settings, and collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure safe, timely treatment and discharge planning.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, an active FL RN license, and BLS/CPR certification, with readiness to work day shifts and potentially nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of employment.
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized nursing care to inmate patients according to nursing protocols.
• Perform assessments in intake, health care units, emergencies, and clinics.
• Collaborate with primary care providers and interdisciplinary teams for timely care.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and report reactions and changes in patient status.
• Provide patient education including meds and self-care.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation.
• Promote a therapeutic environment for inmates.
• Follow infection control and medication policies.
• Participate in staff development and quality improvement.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
