State of Wisconsin is seeking registered nurses for multiple correctional facilities in Wisconsin. Positions are full-time, in-office, with AM, PM, and NOC shifts available.

Candidates will provide autonomous clinical care, patient assessment, medication administration, phlebotomy, vaccines, and documentation in an electronic health record. The role requires an active RN license in the state, current BLS, and demonstrated ability to work independently within a correctional setting.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience working independently in an autonomous healthcare setting.
• Strong clinical assessment and emergency response skills.
• Experience with medication administration and phlebotomy.
• Experience documenting patient care in an electronic health record.

Responsabilités

• Assessing patient conditions using nursing process and managing acute, chronic, and terminal conditions.
• Monitoring patients for reactions to treatments or medications and reporting changes.
• Administering medications per rights and safety protocols.
• Completing medication refills per provider orders and procedures.
• Transcribing provider orders accurately and promptly.
• Educating patients regarding medications, diagnoses, and interventions.
