Job summary

CBH Medical is hiring a Registered Nurse for Calvert County Detention Center. This full-time role works 12-hour shifts in a correctional setting where you can grow clinically and make a meaningful impact on patient care.

You will provide direct care to incarcerated individuals, assist with ADLs, collect vital signs, administer medications, and maintain MAR documentation while upholding infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited vocational nursing program.
• Current Maryland RN license.
• Strong nursing care principles.
• Ability to recognize signs of mental illness, emotional disturbances, or substance dependency.
• Proficient in phlebotomy and administering PPD tests.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Collect vital signs, lab specimens, and patient health data
• Support sick call and assist providers with procedures
• Administer medications and maintain MAR documentation
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes
• Conduct rounds and document patient progress
• Follow infection control and safety protocols
• Maintain medication security including narcotics accountability
• Assist with patient transfers and required reporting
