B2B Staffing Services, Inc. is seeking a travel Correctional Recreation/Recreational Therapist for a travel assignment in Ione, California. Develop and implement recreation therapy services to promote social interaction, leisure management, and reentry preparation for patient-inmates.

You will participate in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team and coordinate with clinicians and custody staff. Minimum 12 months of relevant experience and current NCTRC CTRS or CBPRC certification required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years in a public or private institution.
• National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) CTRS or the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification (CBRPC) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement specialized recreation therapy services to patient‑inmates to promote social interaction, leisure utilization, and reentry preparation.
• Participate in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) and coordinate services with primary clinicians, correctional counselors and custody personnel.
• Evaluate recreation therapy needs focusing on activities of daily living, communication, physical exercise, and positive coping strategies.

Develop and implement specialized recreation therapy services to Patient-Inmates Such therapeutic interventions are designed to promote social interaction, to encourage beneficial and appropriate utilization of leisure time, and to provide Patient-Inmates with preparation fo reentry into general population or other levels of treatment. Participate in the Interdisciplinary Treatment Team (IDTT) and coordinate services with primary clinicians, correctional counselors and other custody personnel. Evaluate recreation therapy needs for Patients-Inmates with particular attention to activities of daily living, communication skills, physical exercise, and positive coping strategies.

Recreation Therapists assigned must have the minimum experience/education as follows: Minimum of twelve (12) continuous months of experience within the last three (3) years in a public or private institution. Internship does not count towards the required experience.
All Recreation Therapists must have the required licenses, permits and/or certifications.
National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC) (CTRS)
or the California Board of Recreation and Park Certification (CBRPC).
