Job summary

NaphCare, Inc. is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist Assistant to join a correctional healthcare team at the Arizona Department of Corrections - Yuma facility in Yuma, AZ.

You will work under a physical therapist to help incarcerated patients regain movement, manage pain, and improve mobility in a controlled environment. The role emphasizes collaboration with correctional officers and other clinicians, with responsibilities spanning therapeutic exercises, treatment planning, and patient

Qualifications

• Accredited AAS or PTA degree recognized in the field.
• State licensure or certification required to practice.
• Active BLS/CPR Certification (AHA).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on PTA care including therapeutic exercises and gait training with progress documentation.
• Follow treatment plans and adjust therapies with supervising PT guidance.
• Observe patients during sessions and report progress to the supervising PT.
• Educate patients and families on home programs and body mechanics.
• Assist patients with transfers, mobility, and use of assistive devices.
• Maintain clean, safe treatment areas and accurate patient records.
