The role focuses on delivering comprehensive mental health services, conducting assessments, and developing treatment plans tailored to inmates' needs. The ideal candidate will have experience in clinical or correctional settings, strong assessment skills, and excellent communication to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams onsite in Leavenworth.

Qualifications

• Licensed Psychologist with a valid state license.
• Experience in clinical or correctional settings preferred.
• Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and counseling techniques.
• Excellent communication and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments through clinical interviews and examination of available records.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, mental health providers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.
• Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans based on ongoing evaluation of patient needs and functioning.
• Perform rounds to evaluate inmate adjustment and mental health requirements.
• Apply psychological counseling theories and techniques to provide effective treatments and interventions.
• Conduct mental health assessments and deliver crisis intervention strategies to support inmates in distress.
• Engage in consultations with staff across departments to gain insights into behavioral issues and mental health changes among inmates.
