Responsibilities

• Conduct psychological screenings and assessments based on records and interviews with inmates.
• Collaborate with a mental health team to coordinate care with psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and others.
• Develop, implement, and modify individual treatment plans based on evaluation.
• Make rounds in segregation or confined housing to assess adjustment and needs.
• Apply counseling theory and techniques to inmates on caseload.
• Provide mental health assessments, counseling, and crisis interventions as needed.
• Consult with psychiatry, nursing, medical, education, chaplain, and security staff to understand escalation factors.
• Offer timely clinical guidance during after-hours incidents and emergencies.
