Qualifications

• Must hold a current unrestricted license as a Psychiatrist in the state.
• A current DEA registration in the state.
• Be able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred).
• Be certified in a Board recognized by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN).
• Must possess strong written communication and verbal skills and have strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and diagnose mental health conditions for facility residents.
• Provide medication management, therapy, and other evidence-based treatment plans.
• Oversee completion of mental health screenings and evaluations performed by others.
• Respond to acute mental health crises within the facility.
• Support rehabilitation and transition of patients back into the community.
• Coordinate and participate in educational trainings for mental health care.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal mandates and regulations.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to implement treatment plans.
