Job summary

Agency Adult Correction Division in North Carolina is seeking a Correctional Programs Supervisor to manage rehabilitation programs for offenders within the state prison system. The role reports to the Program Director and oversees program development, implementation, and coordination with custody staff.

Responsibilities include overseeing education, correctional programs, and counseling services, plus supervising staff and coordinating with community partners to expand offerings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or criminal justice with 1 year of corrections experience.
• Equivalency acceptable with education and experience.
• Must pass a criminal background check and a negative drug screening; medical and psychological evaluations may be required.
• Possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining one or more offender programs (education, correctional programs, counseling).
• Collaborating with community agencies to enrich and establish programs.
• Monitoring the effectiveness of community volunteers assigned to program activities.
• Supervising and evaluating subordinate staff.
• Coordinating program activities with custody staff.
