Job summary

Bureau of Prisons/Federal Prison System is seeking a Correctional Program Officer (Chief, Office of Internal Affairs) to lead investigations into staff misconduct and ensure compliance with standards. This federal role operates within the Office of Internal Affairs and Office of General Counsel, reporting to the agency and coordinating with the DOJ OIG as needed.

Eligible for telework, with a posted annual pay range of $147,945 to $192,331. Applicants under the Fed Transition path may apply.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and conduct investigations of alleged staff misconduct within the Office of Internal Affairs (OIA) and Office of General Counsel (OGC).
• Ensure investigations are thorough, timely, and reported as required under Standards of Employee Conduct to the DOJ Office of Inspector General.
