Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED, 21 years of age, U.S. citizen.
• Valid Driver License may be required for some positions.
• Candidates must pass Written Examination and Physical Standard Test.
• DD214 military documentation may be requested.
• Convictions may disqualify; waivers for misdemeanors possible.
• Foreign accreditations encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with securing and overseeing care and well-being of inmates.
• Monitoring inmate movement within a facility.
• Conducting searches of cells, inmates and visitors.
• Preparing reports.
• Submitting appropriate incident and disciplinary write-ups.
• Supervising inmate work assignments and overseeing inmate feeding.
• Providing inmate security at hospitals, courts, and other destinations.
• Assisting with inmate processing as needed.
• May transport inmates to various locations.
