Job summary

Management & Training Corporation (MTC) is seeking a full-time staff member at the North Central Correctional Complex in Marion, Ohio. The position operates 12-hour shifts (day and night) and focuses on maintaining safety and security within the facility.

Responsibilities include supervising inmates, documenting records, and supporting various facility operations. Required are a high school diploma or GED, an Ohio driver’s license with a clean driving record, and security clearance approval.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED required.
• License: Valid Ohio driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• Clearance: Approval for hire by ODRC and continued facility security clearance required.
• Training: Successful completion of annual in-service training requirements.

• Maintain safety and security: Search for contraband, monitor assigned areas, and help keep the facility secure.
• Supervise daily routines: Count, feed, and supervise inmates in housing, work, and other assigned areas.
• Observe and respond: Provide custody and security through ongoing observation and appropriate communication.
• Document accurately: Prepare and maintain required records, forms, and reports.
• Support facility operations: Assist in areas such as commissary, property, transportation, recreation, mail room, laundry, visitation, booking, main control, housing, segregation, intake, administration, or food services as assigned.
