NaphCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to join our team at the Palmetto, Florida facility, providing comprehensive healthcare to individuals in custody. You will assess, diagnose, treat, and manage a range of medical conditions in a controlled correctional setting, with emphasis on safety and quality care.

The role requires an active Florida NP license, DEA registration, and the ability to work collaboratively with on-site physicians and correctional staff.

Qualifications

• Advanced nursing degree (MSN or DNP).
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Florida.
• DEA registration.
• Collaborative agreement with on-site Physician.
• BLS CPR Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations and develop treatment plans.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions (asthma, hypertension, diabetes).
• Administer medications and provide patient instructions.
• Document health data and vital signs.
• Provide direct patient care, triage, and care coordination.
• Respond to medical emergencies and arrange transfers as needed.
• Educate on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Adhere to correctional facility security protocols.
