NaphCare is hiring a Nurse Practitioner to join our medical team at the Polk County Jail in Des Moines, IA. You will assess, diagnose and treat patients in a controlled environment, collaborating with correctional staff to deliver high-quality care to inmates.

The role requires an active Iowa NP license, DEA registration, and a collaborative agreement with the on-site physician. You will manage chronic conditions and respond to emergencies while maintaining detailed medical records.

Competenze

• Advanced nursing education (Master's or Doctorate).
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in Iowa.
• Current DEA registration and collaborative agreement with on-site Physician.
• Active BLS CPR certification and board certification in relevant specialty.

Mansioni

• Conduct physical exams, develop treatment plans, and monitor patients.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions common in incarcerated populations.
• Administer medications and provide patient education.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate care with security on site.
• Maintain accurate medical records and rounds for patients returning from off-site treatment.
• Admit/discharge patients and ensure compliance with facility policies.
