NaphCare is hiring LPNs/LVNs to join our team in Clayton, Alabama, to provide correctional healthcare at the Ventress Facility. You will work with correctional staff to perform assessments, administer medications, manage chronic illnesses, and respond to emergencies.

New grads are encouraged to apply and will be trained in correctional healthcare. As a Correctional Nurse, you will contribute to high-quality care in a secure environment, maintaining patient records and supporting discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Licensed Practical Nursing program.
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Actively state certified as an LPN/LVN.
• Be able to obtain BLS CPR Certification (AHA preferred).
• Ability to interact effectively with patients from diverse backgrounds, including those with mental health or substance abuse issues.

Responsabilités

• Performing patient assessments, interviewing patients about current health problems, medication history.
• Taking vital signs including blood pressure, temperature, and weight.
• Providing wound care, including cleaning and bandaging injured areas.
• Administering medication, including injections of medications and monitoring reaction to meds.
• Maintaining medical records, including entering information into TechCare EHR.
• Observing patient health and mental health status.
• Providing emergency first aid.
• Providing patient education and discharge/release planning.
