Job summary

NaphCare is seeking a licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team at the Montgomery County Jail in Dayton, OH. You will assess patients, administer medications, perform wound care, and respond to emergencies in a secure correctional setting.

Work alongside correctional officers and healthcare staff to deliver high-quality care while following privacy, safety guidelines, and a strong code of conduct. A valid LPN license and BLS CPR are required.

Qualifications

Graduate from an Licensed Practical Nursing program.
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Active state license as LPN/LVN.
BLS CPR Certification (American Heart Association preferred).
Maintain confidentiality of all proprietary information.
Adhere to facility correctional policies and conduct guidelines.
Pass criminal background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

Perform patient assessments and document health problems and medication history.
Take vital signs and monitor patient health and status.
Provide wound care and administer medications including injections.
Maintain electronic health records (TechCare).
Provide emergency first aid and discharge planning.
Educate patients and assist with discharge planning.
