Job summary

NaphCare is seeking Registered Nurses to join our team in Dayton, OH, where we provide comprehensive healthcare services to inmates at Montgomery County Jail. A Ohio RN license and BLS CPR are required, with the ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in Ohio.
• Active BLS CPR certification.
• Knowledge of nursing principles and safety standards.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and in a team.
• Flexible schedule and overtime availability.
• Integrity, professionalism and adherence to a code of conduct and policies.
• Criminal background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Perform initial health screenings and physical assessments of newly detained individuals.
• Monitor and document patient health, vital signs, and medical histories.
• Provide direct patient care, triage, assess needs, develop care plans, and coordinate services.
• Manage acute and chronic conditions such as asthma, hypertension, and diabetes.
• Respond to medical emergencies, provide first aid, and arrange timely transport to facilities.
• Educate patients on preventative care and healthy lifestyle choices.
• Follow correctional facility security protocols and collaborate with officers and healthcare staff.
• Maintain accurate medical records and report treatment plans.
