Job summary
University Health is seeking a Vocational Nurse to provide efficient, therapeutic nursing care within the Bexar County Detention Center. You will monitor patient status, administer care, and support safety and security requirements while upholding UH and DHCS policies.
Ideal candidates will have experience in correctional health care or emergency/psychiatric nursing, Texas LVN licensure and CPR certification.
Qualifications
- Active Vocational Nursing license in Texas.
- Current CPR certification.
- Experience in correctional health care or psychiatric nursing preferred.
- Experience in emergency nursing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient, therapeutic nursing care to patients.
- Monitor patients' condition and status continuously.
- Ensure compliance with UH and DHCS policies.
- Promote excellent customer relations.
