Job summary

The Chronicle of Higher Education, Inc. is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse in Dalhart, TX.

You will perform a range of patient care duties under the supervision of a registered nurse within a correctional healthcare team, ensuring safe and competent care for patients. Responsibilities include medication administration, EMR documentation, and assisting with exams and procedures, while supporting infection control practices.

Qualifications

• Current Vocational Nurse License in Texas or transfer to TX
• Must transfer or complete program within 120 days of applying
• Current CPR certification is required
• New grads must pass NCLEX-PN on first attempt

Responsibilities

• Reports data and alerts changes in patient responses to guide goals/outcomes.
• Administers or assists with medication administration and documentation.
• Assists with exams/procedures and documents in EMR.
• Prepares and operates equipment for exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Monitors infection control and intervenes as needed.
