TTUHSC's Dalby Unit in Post, TX is hiring Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to join a fast-paced correctional health team. You will document patient care in the EHR, assist with exams and medications, and collaborate with interprofessional staff to ensure quality care.

Qualifications

• Current Vocational Nurse License in Texas or ability to transfer; or scheduled to complete program within 120 days of applying.
• Current CPR certification.
• Graduated from an approved accredited nursing program.
• New graduates must pass NCLEX-PN on the first attempt.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations by assigning staff and monitoring workflow.
• Use EHR to document patient information and support clinical decisions.
• Assist with or perform medical exams and procedures with timely documentation.
• Administer or assist in administering medications with accurate documentation.
• Participate in team meetings and communicate updates to the staff.
• Maintain safety and accountability through counts of sharps, instruments, and keys.
• Attend on-call rotation as part of the clinical team.
