Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• LPN must know the scope of practice for LPNs.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with correctional staff to provide continuity of care for patients.
• Contact practitioner to obtain orders and administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Provide emergency first aid, record vital signs and other tests on-site.
• Triage sick call intake and coordinate with multiple medical services as directed.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA practices; train new hires if required.
