Job summary

Aramark in Racine County Jail is seeking a Food Service Worker to supervise inmates in a correctional kitchen, train staff, and ensure meal production aligns with production plans. You will enforce sanitation, safety standards, and recipe adherence while coordinating daily schedules and inventory under Aramark guidelines.

The role involves preparing meals, supervising portions and dietary requirements, and maintaining logs.

Qualifications

• One year of food prep or related work preferred.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience interacting with inmates is a plus.
• Must be able to obtain a food safety certification.
• Must qualify for and maintain correctional facility security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to production guidelines and review logs for accuracy.
• Supervise inmates in food preparation and tray assembly.
• Ensure timely meal service and compliance with Aramark guidelines.
• Participate in meal preparation and serving.
• Distribute recipes and train inmates on proper procedures.
• Direct inmate staff in correct use of recipes and cooking methods.
• Ensure correct portions and accommodate dietary needs.
• Maintain secure storage and inventory procedures.
• Adhere to security policies and equipment checks.
