Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED and at least two years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Possession of a valid driver's license and eligibility for certification by the Maryland Correctional Training Commission within one year of appointment.
• ServSafe Certification preferred and may be provided at department's expense.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and serves meals and maintains sanitation per State Health Standards.
• Supervises inmate workers, maintains discipline, and ensures security and custody of inmates.
• Keeps records and logs, processes intake and discharge of inmates, and writes incident/disciplinary reports.
