Job summary

The Wisconsin Department of Corrections is seeking a Food Service Supervisor at Felmers Chaney Correctional Center to lead meal production, train resident workers, and manage kitchen operations on-site. Qualifications

• Experience preparing and directing other workers in the preparation of cooking and baking of foods (such as: meats, vegetables, breads, desserts, bag lunches and special occasion meals).
• Experience training or teaching others skills and tasks such as: food preparation, cooking, baking, meat, cutting and processing.
• Experience maintaining cleanliness, ensuring food safety, and monitoring compliance with sanitation standards.
• Experience planning menus (including tasks such as: meeting nutritional requirements, using current food inventory to avoid waste, etc.).

• Direct the production of meals and supervise resident food service workers.
• Plan meals and procure supplies.
• Maintain food inventory and ensure sanitation standards.
• Work on-site with occasional holidays or weekends as needed.
