Pendleton Correctional Facility is a maximum‑security facility located in Pendleton, Indiana, housing incarcerated adult males. The facility also operates an adjacent minimum‑security dormitory. While the campus has historic origins, it includes updated housing units and medical areas that support modern correctional operations. Incarcerated individuals can participate in educational programs, GED preparation, and literacy courses. The salary for this position traditionally starts at $53,222.00 but may be commensurate with education and work experience. Use our Compensation Calculator to view the total compensation package.

This position is exempt from overtime compensation for additional work hours which may be required to complete essential functions or other assigned work. Exempt employees may work more than 75 hours in a pay period without additional compensation and must report a minimum of 75 hours per pay period of work hours and/or paid leave taken to receive their base biweekly salary.
Individuals in this role should minimally be able to articulate or demonstrate the following:
A degree is not required. However, a High School Diploma or High School Equivalent (HSE) and at least 6+ years of experience in corrections, investigative work, law enforcement, or military police with at least three (3) years of experience must be in investigative work and completion of a government sanctioned investigative training program may substitute for one (1) year of the required experience (Proof of completion must accompany application) while applying the outlined knowledge, skills, and abilities in a similar role may be considered.
Individuals should have the ability to perform essential functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
