Job summary

The Colorado Department of Corrections is seeking a Correctional Support Trades Supervisor I (CSTS I) at a Pueblo facility. The role supervises inmate crews, ensures cleanliness and safety, and trains inmates in housekeeping operations in line with policy.

Strong leadership and knowledge of sanitation, chemicals, and PPE are required. Candidates must have a HS diploma or GED and four years of relevant experience, with substitutions possible for correctional experience.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma or GED.
• Experience: 4 years in commercial/institutional housekeeping.
• Substitutions: 2 years with correctional experience may substitute for 4 years.
• Must meet security and background requirements as listed in the announcement.

Responsibilities

• Supervise inmate work crews and ensure safety and security.
• Train inmates in housekeeping operations and proper use of equipment/chemicals.
• Maintain and enforce cleaning schedules, supplies, and PPE usage.
• Coordinate with other trades and document work orders and incidents.
