Job summary

131 Department of Corrections is seeking a Correctional Health Services Administrator III to oversee health care delivery within a correctional facility. The role requires leadership of medical staff and coordination with security and central office to ensure high standards of care.

The position is full-time, on-site, with a fixed non-negotiable salary and responsibilities covering budgeting, policy development, and epidemiology. Travel may be required per assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of general administration or professional health care experience.
• Willing and able to perform all job-related travel.
• On-site position; not eligible for remote work.

Responsibilities

• Administers a health care delivery program and supervises staff.
• Recruits, orients and trains health service employees; sets schedules and policies.
• Coordinates delivery of health care to inmates; liaises with health services, security and central office.
• Initiates studies on major health problems and recommends actions; cooperates with agencies.
• Advises leadership on policy changes relating to health services and security.
• Manages budget and coordinates purchasing and billing; ensures ACA accreditation standards.
• Reviews inmate medical conditions and records; conducts sanitation inspections and assists investigations.
