Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to patients in health service units or state facilities.
• Observes, assesses, and records symptoms, reactions, and progress of patients.
• Makes nursing rounds and records vital signs.
• Prepares and administers prescribed medications and treatment plans.
• Monitors patients requiring restraint and responds to emergencies.
• Counsels patients regarding medical referrals and care options.
• Trains or orients new employees and participates in staff development.
• Assists in scheduling and supervising lower-level staff when required.
