Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Staff Physician to deliver clinical services to the Maryland incarcerated population at Western Correctional Institution in Cumberland, MD. The role reports to the Site Medical Director and emphasizes direct patient care, clinical direction, and collaboration with onsite providers and nursing staff.

Responsibilities include supervising medical services, participating in committees (CQI, Infection Control, Pharmacy and Therapeutics), and interfacing with

Qualifications

• MD/DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or ability to obtain one.
• Board certification/eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine.
• Must show/be able to obtain active DEA registration.
• Leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check.

Responsibilities

• Clinical direction and direct patient care to meet site service requirements.
• Supervision and evaluation of medical services for pre-trial or incarcerated populations.
• Clinical supervision for medical staff.
• Chair or participate in committees (CQI, Infection Control, Pharmacy and Therapeutics).
• Interface with agency clinical and administrative leadership on medical service issues.
• Collaborate with onsite providers and nursing staff to deliver care to the population.
