Job summary

Newton Correctional Facility in Newton, IA, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Nursing Supervisor. This frontline leadership role provides operational and clinical oversight for nursing staff across both the main institution and its minimum-security satellite facility (CRC).

Under the direction of the Nursing Services Director, you will lead a team of 14 direct reports (10 RNs, 3 LPNs, and 1 Nursing Unit Coordinator) to ensure the delivery of safe, efficient, and quality

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the State of Iowa or equivalent compact
• Bachelor's degree in nursing required
• One year of full-time professional clinical work experience in a correctional environment or related fields preferred
• Master's degree in nursing preferred

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day nursing workflows and staffing
• Provide clinical and operational oversight across the facility
• Conduct clinical audits and ensure regulatory compliance
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain patient safety and quality care
