Job summary

The Idaho Department of Correction (IDOC) is recruiting for a Health Services Registered Nurse Manager to oversee multi-site medical operations and ensure compliance with clinical policies. This role reports to the Director of Health Services and involves coordinating with providers and partner agencies.

Ideal candidates will have RN licensure in Idaho or via a compact, supervisory experience, and some correctional health care exposure is preferred. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Professional or Registered Nurse in Idaho or state licensure via the Nurse Licensure Compact.
• Typically one year of supervisory experience including assigning, directing, and evaluating staff or equivalent management training.
• Experience assessing nursing practices for compliance with policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform medical audits and monitor health care operations, including case management and utilization review.
• Serve as a subject‑matter resource on clinical policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with internal departments, external agencies, and provider groups to support program activities and effectiveness.
• Participate in quality management initiatives.
• Support staff with program compliance requirements.
• Maintain strong communication with contracted health care providers.
• Shape and support long-range planning and policy development.
